If you still have the app
The fastest route: in the Fishifu app, go to Profile → Delete My Account. Your request is actioned immediately.
Request by email
If you no longer have access to the app, enter your account's email address. We'll send a confirmation link there; clicking it starts the deletion. For security, a request is only actioned once the email owner confirms it.
How the process works
- You enter your email and a confirmation link is sent to that address.
- You click the link and confirm the request.
- Your account becomes inactive and all of your sessions are closed.
- Within 30 days of the request, your account and all of your data (catch logs, favourites, profile details) are permanently deleted.
- We email you once the deletion is complete.
Changed your mind? Signing back into the app within those 30 days automatically cancels the deletion request.
Which data is deleted?
Along with your account, your catch logs, favourite spots, notification preferences, profile details and device records are removed from all active systems and backups. This falls under KVKK Art. 7 and GDPR Art. 17 (right to be forgotten) and cannot be undone.
